INDIANAPOLIS — A winning Powerball ticket was sold on the north side of Indianapolis ahead of Saturday night’s drawing.
According to a Hoosier Lottery press release, a ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at Hindi Marathon, which is located at 7901 N Michigan Rd. Saturday’s winning numbers were 27-28-34-37-44 with a Powerball of 8.
Officials encourage Saturday’s winner to ensure their ticket is in a secure place, consider meeting with a financial advisor and contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886.
The Powerball jackpot is expected to hit $270 million ahead of Monday’s drawing. Powerball overall odds are one in 25, per Hoosier Lottery.
Indiana was home to the very first Powerball jackpot winner in 1992. The Hoosier State leads the nation in Powerball jackpot wins with 39.
