MANILA, Philippines—Carlo Biado got back at Johann Chua, 9-3, to win the men’s 10-ball singles gold medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Saturday at Ha Dong Gymnasium in Vietnam.

Biado emerged victorious this time in an all-Filipino final rematch that came three days after Chua captured the 9-ball gold at the expense of the reigning US Open champion.

Down 8-3, Chua had a sorry miss on the one-ball that left Biado with an easy table en route to his third overall SEA Games gold medal. He also won 9-ball singles gold in 2017 in Malaysia and 9-ball doubles in 2015 in Singapore.

Biado’s triumph kept the 10-ball crown in the Philippines with Dennis Orcollo winning the event in the 2019 Games in Manila.

Earlier, Rubilen Amit bested Chezka Centeno in women’s 10-ball singles in another all-Filipino title showdown.

Amit also nabbed the gold in women’s 9-ball singles.
