MILWAUKEE – On Saturday, August 13 the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, in partnership with King Advisory, Inc., will host its 27th annual back to school event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

“I am proud to partner with the King Center and King Advisory, Inc. on such an important event for our youth and our community,” said County Supervisor Priscilla Coggs-Jones. “Our youth are our future and ensuring that they have the supplies they need to get a proper education is of the utmost importance. The King Center’s back to school event has helped families prepare for the school year for 27 years, and I look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.”

Event attendees can receive free breakfast, book bags filled with school supplies, and children’s books.

King Advisory Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that guides the programming of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center opened in 1979 in King Park and is operated by Milwaukee County Parks.
