Chicago Police have arrested a 63 year-old man accused of strangling a woman earlier this week, authorities said Thursday evening.

Lawrence Curtis Boyle faces one count of first degree murder in connection with the death of Sierra Jamison, 30, police said. In a statement, police said they arrested Boyle Wednesday on the 700 block of East 111th Street.

Police did not state the relationship between Boyle and the victim, though both appeared to share the same home address.

Jamison was discovered unresponsive on Monday evening inside a garage in the 7800 block of South Indiana Avenue, police said.

An autopsy determined Jamison was strangled, and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Boyle is expected to appear before a Cook County judge for a detention hearing on Friday, authorities said.
