A Chicago man was arrested and charged in a fatal shooting that took place outside of Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn early Saturday, according to Oak Lawn police.

Marques Rose, 36, of the 8100 block of South Winchester, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder in the killing of 28-year-old Rockford resident Brandon McGee.

The shooting occurred at 2 a.m. Saturday outside of the hospital’s emergency room entrance, where a group had gathered following a double homicide in Auburn Gresham. Police believe both McGee and Rose were part of the group.

Rose will be transported to the Cook County Criminal Courthouse for a bond hearing Sunday.
