A GoFundMe fundraiser has raised more than its $50,000 goal in less than 24 hours to cover funeral, transportation and burial costs for the woman and two children who were found dead in their Buffalo Grove home Wednesday.

Vera Kisliak, 36, Vivian Kisliak, 6, and Amilia Kisliak, 4, were among the five people found dead from “sharp-force injuries” in what officials are investigating as a “domestic-related incident.” The other two people were also identified by Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek at a news conference Thursday as Lilia Kisliak, 67, and Andrei Kisliak, 39.

Vera Kisliak’s family, including her sister and her sister’s newborn baby, as well as her 87-year-old grandmother, live overseas, according to fundraiser organizer Natasha Kuzmenko.

The fundraiser describes Vera Kisliak as “a devoted and a loving mom” to “a fun loving, energetic, always smiling” Vivian and to “delicate, kind, sweet” Amilia.

“She did her best to keep them safe and happy but their lives were cut too short in the most gruesome way,” Kuzmenko wrote.

Court records obtained by the Tribune painted a picture of a turbulent divorce and financial issues for Vera and Andrei Kisliak. Both filed for divorce on July 8, records show. The last proceeding for their divorce was held Tuesday. The family also faced foreclosure.

Vera Kisliak obtained an emergency order of protection against Andrei Kisliak Sept. 14, and Buffalo Grove police arrested Andrei Kisliak Sept. 30 for violating the protection order, additional court records reveal. He left Lake County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond, police records show. The violation case last went to court Nov. 17, and another hearing was scheduled for Dec. 13.

According to the fundraiser description, an update on the memorial service will be posted to the page once arrangements are finalized.
