As of Thursday at 7:07 p.m., Kari Lake secured the Arizona Republican Party’s nomination for governor.
Lake and Karrin Taylor Robson are separated by over 19,000 votes, leaving no lane for a Taylor Robson victory.
Arizona’s Republican primary became a battleground in the proxy war between former President Donald Trump, who endorsed Lake and former Vice President Mike Pence, who endorsed Taylor Robson.

Lake ran as the “grassroots” candidate, while Taylor Robson could not free herself from her reputation as the “establishment” candidate.
Lake will face Secretary of State Katie Hobbs in the general election.
