The Tennessee Titans announced that they are placing wide receiver Racey McMath on injured reserve.

Wide receiver Cody Hollister will take McMath’s spot on the roster.

Terry McCormick of Titan Insider reported on Tuesday that McMath was set to be placed on IR after suffering an unspecified hip injury in the preseason finale.

It isn’t clear exactly how long McMath will be out, but he will be forced to miss at least four games after being placed on IR.

It’s an unfortunate turn of events for McMath, a 2021 sixth-round pick who carved out a role for himself as a deep threat and on special teams this offseason.

With the addition of Hollister, the Titans have five receivers on their roster. The team will likely add another, and apparently wideout Josh Gordon is a potential option.
