Angelo Que returns to the Philippine Golf Tour (PGT) next week and immediately looms as the player to beat in the P2-million ICTSI Eagle Ridge Invitational teeing off on Tuesday at the vast complex’s Aoki layout in General Trias, Cavite.

The Japan Tour regular hasn’t played here in almost a year, and with Miguel Tabuena skipping the event to see action in the United States and Clyde Mondilla out because of a previous commitment, the colorful ex-Philippine Open champ will be a force to contend with starting on Tuesday.

“I have been rested and I think I’m prepared for the tournament,” Que said. He hasn’t seen tournament action in close to a month since playing two events in Japan last month and finishing tied for 47th spot in the Crowns last April.

Guido van Der Valk, the Dutchman who edged Tabuena in a playoff at Splendido last month, is entered together with Zannie Boy Gialon, the putting marvel who ruled the Caliraya stop in April.

Antonio Lascuña, the wily veteran, Frankie Miñoza and another former PH Open winner in Robert Pactolerin are the veterans in the field.

The event will be a 72-hole championship and will have an accompanying 54-hole event for the ladies.
