No one was hurt when a small plane made an emergency landing in Libertyville Friday night after an engine failure, the Libertyville Fire Department said.
The plane landed on South Milwaukee Avenue by a Trader Joe’s in Libertyville around 10:15 p.m., the fire department said.
“It’s not every day when you see a plane land on Milwaukee Ave.,” the fire department said in a Facebook post.
Fire crews responded to the scene. The pilot was not injured.
“Looks like a textbook landing, given the circumstances,” the fire department said.
The Libertyville Police Department also said on Facebook, “This might of been a first for us last night. We are glad everyone is safe.”
