A juvenile was hit by a car and critically injured Monday night, according to Metro Police.

The incident happened about 8:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Miller Avenue, near Revere Street, police said.

The juvenile, whose age was not released, suffered critical injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where they were admitted for treatment, police said.

The driver of the car did not remain at the scene, police said.

Vehicle parts at the scene indicated the car might have been a silver 2016-2017 Chevrolet Cruze, police said.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
