Drivers who use I-70 west of Indianapolis should be aware of a construction project starting this week.
Beginning on Monday, April 15, work on I-70 eastbound and westbound between U.S. 231 (Cloverdale, Putnam County) and County Road 1100 W (Little Point, Morgan County) will result in alternating lane closures.
The project involves shoulder work and drainage ditch correction. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, it’s expected to last until summer.
INDOT said the work is weather-dependent, with the schedule subject to change.
Drivers should use additional caution in the work zone.
