The Tennessee Titans added nine new players to their roster during the 2022 NFL draft, including six on offense and three on defense.
The offensive players included wide receivers Treylon Burks and Kyle Philips, offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, quarterback Malik Willis, running back Hassan Haskins, and tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo.
On defense, Tennessee added cornerback Roger McCreary, defensive back Theo Jackson, and linebacker Chance Campbell.
So, just how athletic are the Titans’ nine picks?
Thanks to Kent Lee Platte, who developed Relative Athletic Score (RAS), we can get a good idea about how athletic players are, and how they stack up against others at their position.
Relative Athletic Scores are calculated using a player’s measurements and gives a grade on a scale of 0 to 10.
As a whole, Tennessee’s draft class didn’t fair too well. Per Platte, the Titans’ group ranked 30th out of 32 teams, finishing with an average RAS score of 7.10. For reference, the league average was 7.67.
Ole Miss linebacker Chance Campbell scored the highest RAS of Tennessee’s picks, while cornerback Roger McCreary had the lowest. Now, here’s how each Titans pick fared individually.
Where’s the RAS? Ahead of the draft, Willis didn’t do all the drills necessary — whether at the combine or his pro day — to calculate his score, thus it is unavailable. We can assume, though, that his grade would have been high.
