Loaded up in a helicopter, the Easter Bunny hovered to share his precious bounty with children of all ages.Felicia Hubbard raced the turf of the Florence Yall’s baseball stadium with her daughters Felicity and Finley recovering candies and treats dropped from 500 feet above the field.“They were so excited when they saw the Helicopter drop all the eggs and the Easter bunny,” Hubbard said. Luke Dibenedetto of Seven Hills Church says the unique Easter drop fits the mission of the Florence and Anderson based church.“We believe that church is so much more than what happens inside of these four walls of this church,” Dibenedetto said.The day featured a timeless lesson for all ages. Dibenedetto says it is about joy and renewal, and even a few dinosaurs.“One of our favorite things to do is our Easter production here at 7 hills church year in and year out, we are just so excited to serve the community. Each and every family each and every young person. It’s one of our greatest honors to serve the next generation and everyone who walks on our campus,” Dibenedetto said.Dibendetto says it’s a message that resonates today as much as it did 2,000 years ago.“You look around the world, there’s problems everywhere. We don’t want to contribute to the problems of the world. Instead of shouting what’s wrong, we want to proclaim the solution,” Dibenedetto said.That solution, on this sunny spring day, might be found with laughter dressed in pastels and smiles. The spirit of renewal packed tight in a plastic egg dropping from the sky like hope from generation to generation.
