This past holiday season, Great Parks of Hamilton County collected 11,840 pounds of lights in their lights recycling program, the second-most in the annual program’s eight-year history.The program has helped collect 27 tons of copper wiring and other material since its inception, according to Great Parks CEO Todd Palmeter.Great Parks collaborated with Cohen, which presented a $3,372 check to the park district for the material collected during this year’s event.Last year’s total of 15,700 pounds of lights recycled remains the most in the history of the program.
