As thousands of illegal immigrants pour into his state, and having done little to stem the tide while in office, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey is bringing former Vice-President Mike Pence in to visit the Mexico-Arizona border on Monday.

Although it is the border in Yuma County that being overrun by illegal aliens from across the globe, Ducey and Pence will join the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for a border briefing and tour. Cochise County has been hardest hit by the cartels’ drug smuggling operations.

“Today’s open borders represent the greatest threat to our national security,” said former House Majority Leader Steve Montenegro. “It also puts Arizonans at the greatest risk. It is just another reason you see the entire country turning away from Democrats and towards Republicans — this is a threat to everyone, regardless of political affiliation.”

“This doesn’t even seem like a policy position anymore — it is just the Biden Administration giving the middle finger to America, just to see if we’ll take it. It is dangerous and it will ruin lives,” State Senator David Livingston told the Arizona Daily Independent.

“We are honored to have the Governor and Vice President Pence come to our county to get a first-hand look at challenges we currently face along the southwest border. We welcome the attention to shine a light on the daily efforts being taken by our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to keep our citizens safe,” Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels said in a statement.
