A traveler’s attempt at a joke fell flat with the bomb squad at O’Hare International Airport Friday morning, Chicago police said.
The man was trying to check his bags with a skycap about 10 a.m. at Terminal 1 when he “jokingly” stated he had a bomb in his bag, according to police.
The bomb squad was called but no explosives were found and “all clear” was given.
The man was arrested, and charges were pending.
