A Las Vegas man was critically injured Wednesday night when he was hit by a car while biking across the street, according to Metro Police.
The 49-year-old bicyclist was crossing Blue Diamond Road east of the intersection with Arville Street about 11:20 p.m. when he entered the path of travel of a minivan and was struck.
The bicyclist was transported to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The minivan driver, a 35-year-old man from Utah, remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
The collision remains under investigation, police said.
