A concealed carry license holder shot two men who opened fire at him as he walked in the Loop early Saturday, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 3:40 a.m. a 31-year-old man was walking to his parked vehicle in the first block of West Randolph Street when a red SUV passed him and someone inside opened fire in his direction, police said.
The CCL-holding 31-year-old drew his gun and fired several rounds back, hitting two assailants in the SUV.
That’s when the 31-year-old, who also has a FOID, spotted another assailant jump out of his car and run away, police said.
Meanwhile, the red SUV sped away to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where the two 22-year-old assailants, one of whom was shot in the left knee and other in the buttocks, sought treatment and were arrested, police said.
The 31-year-old was not injured.
No charges have been announced and detectives are still seeking the third suspect who ran away.
