Nathan Anthony Vensor has been arrested for a shooting in the parking lot of Chandler Fashion Center.
On August 1,at 6:58 p.m., Chandler Police were dispatched to the Chandler Fashion Center regarding a shooting. As officers arrived, they determined that a suspect, in his late teens to early 20s, with numerous tattoos, discharged 30 rounds from an A.R. 15 rifle into the air. Police located the discharge shell casings in the Southwest parking lot at the mall.
Police determined an incident between Vensor and another individual led to the shooting. Before the shooting, Vensor pointed the weapon at the victim, demanding property. Vensor fled the location in a vehicle before the arrival of police.
Police found no one was injured, and no damage there was no damage to property.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., on August 2, 2022, police were dispatched to the Chandler Fashion Center with reports from security of Vensor shopping inside the mall. As officers arrived, video surveillance captured Vensor shopping.
Police arrested Vensor 11:03 a.m. Vensor was unarmed and wearing the same baseball cap he purchased at the mall before the shooting on August 1, 2022.
Vensor was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of Armed Robbery, one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Possession of a Weapon by a Prohibited Processor, and 36 counts of Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.
Vensor was found to be in possession of a narcotic thrust upon his arrest and was booked on one count of Possession of a Narcotic Drug.
