The Shinichi Suzuki-Teruhisa Taguchi and Justin Tambunting-Eric Escalona pairs posted 82 points each to share the overall gross lead after two days of the Manila Southwoods Invitational at the vast complex’ well-manicured Legends and Masters layouts.

The two tandems have a two-point lead over the teams of Gen. Alex Ignacio-Edwin Sanchez and Marvin Caparros-King Stehmeier, who came through with identical 80s after best ball play at the Masters with John Molina and Regis Casquejo and Brixton Aw and Raymond Co, who matched 76s, another four points behind as centerpiece action shifts to the Legends for the aggregate format.

Molina-Consquejo, meanwhile, is also locked in a huge group battling it out for the overall net title after scoring 96 points like nine other teams counting the John Cope-Iain McGlen, Arsenic Villanueva-Diosdado Bautista and Bobby Iñigo-Venzon Paz pairs.

Renie Floro and Kazuo Murakami, Iñigo Golingay Jr. and Rolando Rabutin, Karlo Miguel and Juan Carlos Reyes, John Lopez and Kenney Tee, Gus Molina and Luis Rey Velasco and Adrian Tan and James Lim were also in that logjam.
