The moment there is gun violence, we ask how much carnage we are willing to accept. Then begins the finger pointing, blaming, accusing, writing, talking and freezing in real time.
This same exercise and posturing has been the status quo for years. What is needed is the courage to have real change and face today’s gun culture as a decline in moral attitude and behavior.
Are we at a crossroads? When is the comeuppance of this moral and ethical failing going to be called out by decent citizens?
We have to change our approach about guns and how they fit into our society. Otherwise, we will have to admit and embrace that we have limitless acceptance of the carnage that guns posed in society.
