The 2024 list is based on an analysis of more than 60,000 companies and their remote job postings between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2023.
Despite the cooling job market, shifting workforce views, layoffs, and return-to-office mandates, remote employment remains a favored option among professionals for their ideal work arrangement.
The continued appeal of remote work can be attributed to its ability to provide individuals with the flexibility to balance both professional and personal commitments, creating an environment for enhanced productivity and work-life integration.

While the workplace has evolved to include many career categories, the most common industries for remote work include:
With a wide variety of jobs being available for remote work, some remote job titles are more popular than others. Similar to prior years, a majority of remote jobs were targeted toward experienced professionals (64%).
However, remote jobs were also posted for managers (19%), senior-level professionals (12%), and entry-level professionals (5%).
