A suspect in a double shooting, which killed a man and injured a woman Friday in Denver, has been identified.

Derron Harris, 30, is being investigated for first-degree murder, according to police.

The Friday afternoon incident happened in the 300 block of Broadway, where the two victims were shot in a parking lot. The shooting and subsequent investigation shut down a stretch of Broadway south of Speer for the afternoon.

Police on Friday were looking for a woman and a Chrysler 200 as part of the investigation. The vehicle and the woman have been found, police said on Saturday. She currently is not facing charges and the investigation is ongoing.

On Friday night in Denver, police responded to a shooting in the Athmar Park area, near South Raritan Street and West Alameda Avenue, police said on Twitter at 10:04 p.m. A man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries.
