At 655 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mount Washburn, or 18 miles north of Lake Yellowstone, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Occasional cloud to ground lightning is
occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles
away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a
building or vehicle.

This strong thunderstorm will be near…
Tower Junction and Tower Falls around 705 PM MDT.
Floating Island Lake and Lamar Valley around 710 PM MDT.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
