PIERRE – A rough night for Post 8 Legion baseball saw Sioux Falls East sweep a doubleheader Wednesday at Hyde Stadium 10-2 and 10-0.
Sioux Falls East led 5-0 after an inning and a half in the first game before Lincoln Kienholz drove in the Eights’ first run with a single in the third. The visitors scored a fourth-inning run before Post 8 had a Gary Nedved double in the home fourth. Sioux Falls East then scored four more runs in the sixth.
Game two was scoreless until Sioux Falls East scored six runs in the fifth and four in the sixth. Kienholz, Jayden Wiebe and Grayson Hunsley had singles for Post 8 (7-11).
