MANILA, Philippines—As expected, Carlos Yulo stamped his class in vault to claim his fourth gymnastics gold in the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Monday at Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Putting on another dazzling display, Yulo tallied an average of 14.700 to cruise to the gold.

Another Filipino in Juancho Miguel Besana made the podium, taking the bronze with 14.017.

Tikumporn Surintornta of Thailand placed second with 14.250.

The 22-year-old Yulo, who is the reigning world champion in vault, vies for two more golds when he competes in high bars and parallel bars later.

Yulo won the gold in still rings, all-around and floor exercise on Sunday.
