SIOUX FALLS – The Expedition League is at three teams for the moment after the league announced Friday that Red River Pilots head coach Matty Holem resigned and dismissed the Pilots’ players.
In a press release, Expedition League President Steve Wagner said that Holem’s move to let the players go was “unauthorized.” Wagner also said that the league is aiming to rebuild Red River’s roster.
Scheduled games between the Trappers and Pilots for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Grand Forks were canceled and the league has announced a revised schedule for the rest of the regular season.
