After a Fourth of July weekend consisting of sporadic showers, Coloradans can expect a rainy rest of the week.

The forecast for Tuesday is mostly sunny with a high of around 89 degrees. After 1 p.m., showers are likely with an additional chance of thunderstorms. According to the National Weather Service, the chance of precipitation is about 60%.

The NWS predicts cloudy conditions through Tuesday night with a lingering chance of rain even after 7 p.m. with an overnight low of 64. During the day, winds could gust up to 18 miles per hour, while at night wind gusts could reach 22 miles per hour.

On Wednesday, there is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly after 1 p.m. Partly sunny with a high of about 87, wind gusts could reach up to 16 miles per hour on Wednesday.

Wednesday night will likely start off as mostly cloudy and then gradually clear up later on. A high of 62 is expected with about a 50% for rain.

Both Thursday and Friday are expected to have considerable chances for precipitation, with a 40% chance of thunderstorms and a high of 88 degrees on Thursday and a slight chance of thunderstorms and a high of 92 on Friday.

Saturday is expected to be especially hot, with a high of around 97.
