Because of an opioid crisis, people in pain submit to a urinalysis every three months and blood test every six months to keep their pain medications. These tests are not free, with lab fees costing thousands of dollars.
How about requiring a urinalysis test every three months and a mental evaluation every six months of those who want to own an assault rifle? We have an assault rifle crisis in this country too, so let’s put forth the same effort as we do to relieve people’s pain.
People in pain bear the cost and inconvenience to satisfy the opioid crisis, and there is no reason gun owners can’t do the same during our assault weapons crisis. It’s the least we could do.
