Arrangements have been made to celebrate the life of former Clarion Ledger outdoors writer Bobby Cleveland.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lakeshore Park, 1112 North Shore Parkway, on Ross Barnett Reservoir. A reception will follow at Kathryn’s Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant, 6800 Old Canton Road, in nearby Ridgeland.

Cleveland, who most recently worked as the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District spokesman, died on April 28 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Before his time at the Clarion Ledger, he worked at the Hattiesburg American. He was 67.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ace and Carrie Cleveland Endowment Scholarship at the University of Southern Mississippi (P.O. Box 15458, Hattiesburg, MS 39404), the Barnett Reservoir Foundation (P.O. Box 2180, Ridgeland, MS 39158), or the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum (1152 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, MS 39216).
