The AZGOP launched a billboard campaign focusing on “Border Czar” Kamala Harris.

Vice President Kamala Harris was greeted on Friday by billboards the Arizona GOP purchased to highlight Harris’ record on the border.

The billboards could be seen in parts of Phoenix ahead of Harris’ and Democratic Vice President nominee Tim Walz’s appearance in Glendale, Arizona.

One billboard read “Kamala Harris: 1296 days in office, zero border visits.” The other read “Missing: ‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris – Last seen at the border: ???”

The AZGOP said the billboards are intended to “inform Arizonans of her glaring neglect of border security and the devastating impact of her inaction on Arizona and the nation.”

Despite the fact that Harris was appointed as the “Border Czar,” by President Joe Biden, she still has not visited the border.

Republicans say her failure to visit the border is a “dereliction of duty” that has “allowed the border crisis to spiral out of control, putting American lives at risk.”

“Kamala Harris’ failure to address the border crisis is a dereliction of duty that cannot be ignored. As the so-called ‘Border Czar,’ her complete absence from the border and lack of action have had deadly consequences for our communities. The AZGOP is committed to holding her accountable and ensuring that the American people are informed about her disastrous record,” said
Gina Swoboda, Chair of the Arizona Republican Party.

Harris and Walz held their rally at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale. The 14,000 in attendance filled the lower levels of the arena, which has a capacity of 20,000.

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs did not attend the event, saying she had a scheduling conflict. Her office refused to say what the conflict was.
