London is taking the Giants back to face the Pack.

The Giants will take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 9 at 9:30 a.m. ET at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the NFL announced Wednesday morning.

“It’s always an honor to represent the NFL internationally,” head coach Brian Daboll said in a statement. “We’ve got a lot of work to do between now and then.”

The Giants are 2-0 all-time in London with wins at Wembley Stadium (2007) and Twickenham Stadium (2016). The Packers, the home team for this Oct. 9 clash, will make their international debut as the 32nd NFL franchise to play in London since 2007.

“Our fanbase in the UK has always been extremely loyal and passionate,” Giants chief commercial officer Pete Guelli said in a statement. “The organization has had two memorable games in front of the London fans, and we look forward to engaging with them leading up to the game this fall.”

The Giants beat the Miami Dolphins, 13-10, at Wembley Stadium in the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in London on Oct. 28, 2007. Then they beat the Los Angeles Rams, 17-10, at Twickenham Stadium on Oct. 23, 2016. Eli Manning was the quarterback for both victories.

Now they’ll play for the first time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which opened in North London in 2019 and seats around 60,600 for American football games.

Last season, Tottenham hosted a Falcons 27-20 win over the Jets and a 27-23 Jaguars win over the Dolphins last season. The league has played 30 games in London: 23 in Wembley, four in Tottenham Hotspur and three in Twickenham.

Giants-Packers is one of the NFL’s five 2022 international games made official on Wednesday morning. There will be two other games in London: the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 2, and the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 30.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Germany on Nov. 13. They will play at Allianz Arena in Munich, home of FC Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga. And the Arizona Cardinals will host the San Francisco 49ers at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca on Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.

The NFL will release its full 2022 regular season schedule on May 12. The Giants already know their home and road opponents; they’re just waiting on the dates and times.

They’ll host the Cowboys, Eagles, Commanders, Ravens, Panthers, Bears, Lions, Texans and Colts. And they’ll visit the Cowboys, Eagles, Commanders, Packers, Jaguars, Vikings, Seahawks and Titans.

The plus side of Wednesday’s news: the Giants won’t have to go to frigid Lambeau Field in the winter. The bad news: Daboll will have to take his team across the Atlantic Ocean to try and beat a four-time MVP quarterback in Rodgers.
