Southern Miss football is gearing up for the early signing period as they start to finalize their 2023 signing class.
The 2023 Southern Miss football recruiting class is expected to be highlighted by WR Javieon Butler and QB Ethan Crawford, along with 11 other three-star recruits. Will Hall’s third recruiting class has 17 commits as of Sunday and has talent on both sides of the ball. It features 10 instate commitments, with the rest coming from around the South.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2022 season at 7-6 after a 38-34 win over Rice in the LendingTree Bowl on Saturday. Running back Frank Gore Jr. broke the FBS bowl rushing record with 329 yards. It was the program’s first bowl appearance since 2019 and first win since 2016. Hall has gone 10-15 in two seasons as the Golden Eagles coach.
