The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority and Amalgamated Transit Unto Local 627 have struck a new agreement, guaranteeing better pay, benefit and stability for the first time in Metro’s history. As part of the ongoing efforts to address a continued driver shortage and to help keep up with expanding service, Metro is aggressively recruiting new bus operators to join their team. Under the new union contract, Metro operators enjoy competitive pay and benefits, including:Paid training at $19 per hour, which includes CDL training and reimbursement for CDL licensing fees.
