ATLANTA-Georgia State will make its sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament beginning on Thursday as a No. 16 seed facing No. 1 seed Gonzaga in a West Region first-round contest in Portland, Ore. The game will air live at 4:15 p.m. ET on TNT and WRAS-FM 88.5.
Georgia State (18-10) is making its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2015. The Panthers own a pair of victories in the tournament coming in 2001 and 2015.
The Panthers enter the tournament as one of the hottest teams in the nation having won 10 straight games, 12 of the last 13, and eight-straight road/neutral contests.
Georgia State won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament last Monday night to earn the league’s automatic bid with an 80-71 win over Louisiana.

Georgia State will be facing Gonzaga (26-3, 13-1 WCC) for the second time in program history and the first since 1994. The winner will face No. 8 Boise State and No. 9 Memphis on Saturday.
