BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) – The Bonneville County Transfer Station will be closed Dec. 6 until Dec. 20, 2023.
Officials say this closure is necessary for maintenance at the facility.
Tires, freon items (refrigerators, freezers, A/C units), used motor oil (up to five gallons) and lead acid batteries will still be accepted at the transfer station during the closure.
Municipal and household waste will be diverted to the Peterson Hill Landfill, 9449 E Sunnyside Road, Idaho Falls. The hours of operation at the landfill are Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
Metal and Cardboard recycling will be accepted at the Bonneville County Hatch Pit, 3690 Recycle Rd, Idaho Falls. The hours of operation at the Hatch Pit are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
