Six people were arrested Saturday in downtown Greenville, South Carolina, during a picket in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to the Greenville Police Department.(Video above shows the incident)The protest was supposed to last from 12 until 1 p.m. with 100 people present at One City Plaza, but approximately 400-500 people were present during the picket which exceeded the scheduled end time, all according to Greenville police.Greenville police said on several occasions, police addressed people in the road and parties with opposing views from one side trying to get over to the other side. Police said one person was arrested after multiple warnings.Police said other protestors then interfered, which led to their arrests.Police said charges range from pedestrians in the roadway, interfering with police, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.The picket was deemed an unlawful assembly and officers dispersed both sides, police said.Police also said there was not any use of pepper spray or stun gun discharges, and an investigation is underway.
