Tempe Police officers arrested Jennifer Knutson on July 28th at her residence near the intersection of Lebanon and Evergreen in Tempe, for animal cruelty.
On July 20th, Knutson turned over a dead dog to Tempe Police investigators. Police say it was Knutson’s failure to provide medical care for the dog that resulted in its death.
Knutson, according to the Tempe Police Department, has an extensive history with the Arizona Humane Society, which has seized over 20 dogs from her residence over the last two years. Several were euthanized due to lack of medical care or treatment.
In this incident, during the service of a warrant, 32 additional dogs received, including three newborn pups were discovered.
Nelson was booked into the Tempe jail.
