Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend!
We had a fun, low-key couple of days! Stayed in and ordered pizza on Friday night, and hung out with friends on Saturday! Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL spring day–finally a reprieve from the cold rainy spring weather we’ve been having. June is off daycare from Wednesday-Friday this week for their spring break and I’m frantically trying to cram 5 days of work into two days so I can enjoy the time off with her as much as possible! (Maybe thinking of taking her to the Lincoln Park Zoo one day?)
Today, I’m sharing a little try-on of some Amazon items I purchased for our Florida trip, but I never got around to doing a review of them until now! So, here we are today. I’ll be posting a try-on over on IG stories today as well, so be on the lookout for that!

9 New-To-Me Spring/Summer Amazon Finds
Bike shorts:
(Update, it looks like this exact green isn’t there anymore, but they have lots of other colors!) Bike shorts are my most worn wardrobe staple during the summer (i.e. warm weather leggings) and I’m slowly building my collection of colors. 😆 I loved this forest green color and I had yet to test out a pair of bike shorts from Amazon–so I took advantage of the opportunity! I’d say in terms of material/fit/support they feel like a pair of Zella leggings (but, you know, short). They’re thick and support enough for a HIIT workout. (If I ever worked out anymore that would be a plus). They’re dark enough to disguise sweat. They have pockets (which is great for walks when you don’t want to bring anything else with you).
Sizing: They run small, I would go with your larger size. I am almost always a small but I had to exchange these for mediums.
Spaghetti strap crop cami + ribbed crop cami–both with built in bras!
Remember these amazingly comfortable sports bra/lounge bra/crop tops that got me through the pandemic and pregnancy? Well, I was looking for something that was a little more “top” like to expand my comfy athleisure collection, so I ordered this spaghetti strap crop and this ribbed crop and loved them both so much, I kept both!
Both have shelf bras and removable pads/cups. (I will say, you may have to play around with the placement of the cups though so they don’t look funny–but as soon as I got them in the right place they were great!) Both are comfy with some support but not a TON of support. Great for athleisure and lower-impact, but also really cute to wear as a tank for regular clothes too! (See how I wore with the paper bag shorts below!) I wore these a lot with jean shorts in Florida as well!
Linen paper bag shorts:
When I saw these on Amazon I added to cart immediately! They’re such a great breezy short and I love that they are a longer length. Of course, they’re linen, so they have the wrinkled/lived-in look, but that doesn’t bother me! (I would recommend giving them a steam with a steamer, though!) They were great for a beach vacation, they’ll be comfy and cute for summer, too! (Also, because of the elastic high waist, a good postpartum buy, too!)
Sizing: Wearing small, TTS in my case, but it looks like some of the reviews of the larger sizes say they run big. They’re definitely roomy, but they’re supposed to be, and I wouldn’t have wanted the waist to be tighter, either!
Strappy nude low heels:
I got these heels back in January for a wedding in Cabo and a great buy for the money! I love the minimalist strappy design and the low block heel. They were comfy enough to wear for hours. (They did rub a bit the first wear, but no problems after my feet got used to them! See my tips for breaking in your shoes here!) They’re not too high so they look great with shorts too for a dressy/casual look!
Sizing: TTS, went with my normal shoe size.
Knit ruffled sweater tank:
I love a sweater tank, and I love that this one is so different! The low v and ruffle combo make it a fun flirty top for date night or you can pair it with some casual jean shorts and sneakers for a casual daytime look! (I’m wearing it with my Madewell jeans here!)
Sizing: TTS. Wearing small.
Henley bodysuit:
Always searching for comfy and cute “going out” top options that are a little sexy but not hoochie-mama (😂 It’s hard to find things to wear out in your mid thirties!?)–this bodysuit totally fits the bill! It’s really cute with jeans and heels, with casual shorts and sneakers, a skirt, a great base-layer underneath a jean or Moto jacket–it’s so versatile! I love the henley button detail as well, and it comes in lots of colors!
Sizing: TTS. Wearing small!
Poplin smocked blouse:
I was drawn to this top because many of you are always looking for reccos for tops that do double duty–for work and the weekend. I loved that this fit the bill and could be worn with work pants to the office, and you can even pull the sleeves down off the shoulder to spice it up for date night. (I’m wearing it with my Madewell jeans here!) Also, it looks super cute with jean shorts and sneakers, too! So many ways to wear it! Also, I think unlike most smocked tops, the smocked portion is longer on the torso, so if others haven’t worked for you previously due to the length, you may give this a try! (Note: Because it’s poplin, you’ll need to steam it to de-wrinkle!)
Sizing: TTS, wearing small.
Smocked maxi dress:
Last but not least (my personal favorite!) this dress! Cannot get over the COLOR! I love the exaggerated sleeve and the smocked top. Dress it down with flats or dress it up with heels–could easily wear this for a rehearsal dinner or a more casual wedding, even! Tip: Make sure the tie on the top is tied outside of the ruffle so it holds it down, otherwise it sticks up!
