If there is one thing that is guaranteed to get your students excited, it’s a good science experiment! While some experiments require expensive lab equipment or dangerous chemicals, there are plenty of cool projects you can do with regular household items. Regardless of how empty your cabinets may be, we think you are likely to have at least some of these things lying around at home. Watch as your students engineer a bridge, solve environmental issues, explore polymers, or work with static electricity. 14. Demonstrate the “magic” leakproof bag

17. Re-create the water cycle in a bag

20. Use apple slices to learn about oxidation

25. Learn to layer liquids

27. Make homemade bouncy balls
