Everyone knows the iconic phrase, “spring cleaning,” so it’s shocking to me that fall doesn’t have a similar saying. The start of any new season calls for new beginnings, and for me, that means a rigorous closet clean-out. This resulted in a weekend spent at home picking through the items that I was desperate to hold onto, insistent that even though I hadn’t worn them in over a year, I would wear them soon. Needless to say, a little tough love was required.
Three large trash bags later, I am so ready to start filling in the empty spaces with my favorite fall buys—chunky sweaters, boots, and denim being the star players. My closet clean-out made me think about my fellow fashion editors and what they may be getting rid of for this upcoming season.
