Officials are looking for a man who allegedly walked into a San Jose home and kidnapped a 3-month-old baby, the San Jose Police Department said on Twitter Monday night.

The California Highway Patrol said Tuesday morning that the suspect may drive a 2011 silver Nissan Quest with the license plate 7HWF353.”There is a white circular sticker in the lower left corner of the rear window,” CHP said.

The man walked into a home in the 1000 block of Elm Street in San Jose just before 1 p.m. and left with the child, Brandon Cuellar, police said. Police released surveillance footage of the man walking down the sidewalk holding a baby carrier covered by a white blanket.

“The family does not recognize this suspect,” police said on Twitter.

The baby was taken while his grandmother was unloading groceries, San Jose Police Sgt. Christian Camarillo told NBC Bay Area. The child’s mother was at work at the time and the father is incarcerated.

“In that short amount of time, someone entered the apartment … and left with the baby,” Camarillo said.

Police described the alleged suspect as a short-haired Hispanic man and in the security footage he was wearing a gray hat, black mask, dark blue shirt and black pants. Brandon was last seen wearing a white long-sleeved onesie with dinosaurs at the time of the alleged kidnapping, police said.

Police said to call 911 if you’ve seen Cuellar or the alleged suspect.

Both San Jose Police and the FBI are working the incident.
