INDIANAPOLIS — Zoobilation is back! The theme for the Indianapolis Zoo’s 37th annual fundraiser is “CHIMPS: The One with the Chimpanzees.”
The Zoobilation event was first held in 1986 as a fundraiser for the zoo’s relocation to White River State Park, and now it supports many conservation and education programs for the zoo.
Guests at the 2024 Zoobilation black-tie event, the largest of its kind in the Midwest, will experience a wild adventure they’ll never forget! All guests will be 21 or older.

Money from the event helps pay for the care of nearly 1,400 animals and 48,000 plants as well as the Indianapolis Zoo’s global conservation initiatives.
Attendees will enjoy cocktails, fine wines and other drinks amid the Indianapolis Zoo’s animals and exhibits. As the evening progresses, they’ll dance the night away to live music.
Zoobilation guests will also taste the finest culinary creations from some of central Indiana’s most popular restaurants, which will vie for the coveted people’s choice and blue-ribbon awards. 2023’s winners included:
- Best appetizer: Eddie Merlot’s for their beef brochettes
- Best entree: Back 9 Golf and Entertainment for their short rib pares
- Best dessert: Log Still Distillery’s bourbon chocolate caramel tart
- Best decor: Punkin Pie’s Sweet Treats
The presenting sponsor is Citizens Energy Group, with additional support from Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, Ice Miller LLP, Republic National Distributing Company and Moser Consulting. FOX59/CBS4 is also the event’s official weather station.
