INDIANAPOLIS — The Yorktown Fire Department’s structure collapse team has been activated three times in less than a week.

During each of the three incidents YFD was sent to, drivers had run into houses and compromised the homes’ structural soundness.

The first crash YFD responded to was on Friday. During the June 6 crash, YFD placed two shores in a damaged home’s weak spots.

The second incident YFD worked happened on Sunday. Once again, crews used shores to reinforce the structural integrity of a home that had been struck by a driver.

The third crash YFD responded to unfolded on Tuesday afternoon. During the third crash, a driver damaged a home badly enough to force crews to once again use shores to stabilize the house.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
