ELK POINT, S.D. (KELO) — The top two ranked teams in Class 11B meet in the KELOLAND Sports Game of the Week Friday night as No. 2 Elk Point-Jefferson hosts No. 1 Winner.

WINNER WARRIORS
Winner is off to a 2-0 start and enters the game off a bye week. This game will be its first road contest this season.
It is outscoring its opponents by 27 points a game.
The Warriors began the season with a 36-0 shutout win over Hot Springs in the season opener. They followed it up with a 24-6 victory against Wagner.
ELK POINT-JEFFERSON HUSKIES
Elk Point-Jefferson is also 2-0 and had its bye week in between the two contests.
EPJ began the season with a resounding 54-0 shutout win at Parker. It eeked out a 36-33 victory over Mount Vernon/Plankinton in its home opener.
Keaton Gale is under center for EPJ. He has completed 24 of his 37 pass attempts for 408 yards and seven touchdowns. Gunner Ewing has rushed for 196 yards and four TDs.
THE SERIES
In the last 20 years, the teams have met three times, all in the last three seasons. Winner won the first meeting in 2021 before Elk Point-Jefferson has won the last two.
THE GAME
Live coverage on KELOXTRA and KELOLAND.com begins at 7 p.m. on Friday with pregame coverage. Kick-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
KELOLAND’s Ian Sacks and Jordan DeSmet will call the game, which is a rematch of the state semifinal from last season.
