Scattered thunderstorms could bring wind gusts up to 50 mph across metro Denver on Sunday and into Monday, according to National Weather Service forecasters.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible into the early evening across the Front Range and into the Eastern Plains, NWS Boulder forecasters said in a hazardous weather outlook on Sunday morning.
Wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph and can shift even if there’s not a storm overhead, posing a risk to people recreating on open water, agency officials said in a post on X.
Severe thunderstorms may continue over northeast Colorado on Monday, bringing severe winds and some moisture.
