Even with Colorado’s 52-0 victory over Oklahoma State on Friday, the Buffs (7-2) will need some help to make it to the Big 12 Championship game. The three Big 12 teams tied at 6-2 going into Saturday are Arizona State, BYU and Iowa State.
If all three teams win on Saturday (a four-way tie), it would be Arizona State that makes the Big 12 Championship. And with tiebreaking scenarios, Colorado would end up in fourth place.
Here are the scenarios that would send Colorado to the Big 12 title game:
Iowa State win, Arizona State loss, BYU loss
Colorado would play Iowa State
Iowa State loss, Arizona State win, BYU loss
Colorado would play Arizona State
Iowa State loss, Arizona State loss, BYU win
Colorado would play BYU
