Built into a cornfield, the ballpark is inspired by the movie starring Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones, Amy Madigan, and Timothy Busfield.According to MLB, the right field fence has a unique design that accentuates the corn through a fine mesh seven-foot high green chain link fence with offset vertical support posts – meaning the posts will actually be in the corn.The stalks that produce field corn will grow 10 feet to 12 feet high.Officials will use a manual scoreboard that will be in the corn behind the right field fence.MLB said Reds and Cubs throwback logos have been etched into the historic cornfield that will be visible during the game’s broadcast.CAN YOU GET TICKETS?According to MLB, tickets for the game are sold out. MLB held a ticket lottery where people could register in hopes of getting to buy tickets.The registration started in early June, then a random drawing was held on June 14. Those whose names were drawn were able to buy tickets on June 16.THROWBACK UNIFORMSThe Cincinnati Reds have unveiled a special throwback uniform that the team will wear in this week’s Field of Dreams game in Dyersville. The Reds will wear 1919-inspired uniforms that are white with navy pinstripes and the club’s classic script-C, embroidered on the left chest.The Reds’ hat is also white with navy pinstripes all around with a vintage red “C” on the front two panels.Chicago’s uniforms feature a cream uniform with a script-C embroidered on the left chest with a bear holding a baseball bat inside of the letter.The Cubs’ caps are dark blue with the same bear from the logo on the uniform but in white.Last year’s participants, the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox, also wore 1919-inspired throwback uniforms.Field of Dreams game merchandise featuring the throwback logos is now on sale at the Reds team shop.
