The West Chester Police Department said an arrest has been made in connection to the death of Sherry Berna Haywood.Haywood’s body was found on the side of the road between Muhlhauser Road and State Road 747 on May 29.The Butler County Coroner ruled Haywood died of multiple traumatic injuries.Police said a Butler County Grand Jury handed down indictments for 30-year-old Miguel Gomez-Alvarez on Wednesday and he was taken into custody without incident Wednesday evening.Authorities said Gomez-Alvarez has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and failure to stop after a crash.Gomez-Alvarez’s vehicle was located just days after the crash at The Willows Apartment Complex in Springdale by a West Chester police officer.
